Lviv:
Lviv is a major city in the western Ukraine. It is situated 70 kilometres from Polish border and not far from Carpathian Mountains. Its population is about 700 000 people.
Lviv was founded more than 750 years ago by King Daniel of Galicia and used to be the Capital of East Galicia. The city is one of the main cultural centers of today's Ukraine. The historical part of the city is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Its architecture reflects different European styles and epochs. There are many state and private Universities, libraries, theatres, Opera House and parks in Lviv.
